About the College

EASWARI ENGINEERING COLLEGE (EEC), a division of SRM Group of Educational Institutions for higher learning is functioning under the aegis of “Valliammai Society”. The society was founded in the year 1975, for promoting the cause of Quality Education, by Dr. T. R. Pachamuthu, an Academician and Educationist. EEC was instituted in the academic year 1996 – 1997, with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Anna University, since 2002. The courses have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA)/AICTE and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College offers eight Under-Graduate Programmes, eleven Post Graduate Programmes and seven Research Nodal Centres under Anna University covering ‘Engineering & Technology’, ‘Computer Applications’ and ‘Management’. The college has a strong Industry-Interaction with reputed National and International organizations. The college has obtained ISO 9001: 2008 Certification from TUV South Asia.

The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering offers B.E. Degree programme in EIE and M.E. degree programme in Control and Instrumentation Engineering. The department has secured permanent affiliation from Anna University and is accredited by NBA. To emerge as a ‘Center of Excellence for Higher Studies’ and specialization in ‘Instrumentation’ and be a strategic partner in the Industrial Advancement arena, by imparting Quality Education towards the holistic development of students, with emphasis on ‘Professional Ethics and Values’. To accomplish and maintain International eminence in ‘Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering’ and become a model department, through development of minds, advancement of knowledge and professional skills, to meet the global demands. The department has received grant under MODROBS from AICTE, establishment of Project Centre for Technical Education in the institution from AICTE and from DRDO, DIT, CSIR, MOES, ICMR, DBT & BRNS. The department has published two patents in the area of Communication and Instrumentation. The department has received Teaching Awards in Engineering from Staffordshire University UK & Education Matter. Faculties in the department have received many awards such as national level best women engineering teacher award from ISTE, best women engineering college teacher award form IET, promotional award from IET and best program officer award from YRC. Similarly students also received national level best project awards from ISTE, INAE, GYTIA, Texas Instruments, Accenture award, AIMO, best TCS project award, best student award from ISTE and IET.
